Fittingly, we'll have a first responder from the infamous 9/11 present on this 9/11! Ron Sardanopoli paints a vivid picture as he personally experiences a decade of a poverty stricken South Bronx, New York City communities, during the 1970s. While these communities are being burned down to the ground, politicians and senior leaders are overwhelmed and confused, unable to find a resolution, while people are suffering from oppressive social conditions. Amidst these surroundings resonates a thrilling inspirational boxing story filled with history as a youth's perseverance and plight in the face of the gritty background of poverty, burning apartment buildings, jobless tenants, homelessness, street gangs, and crime. A story about a youth, born and raised in a specific time and place, who is searching for a way to break away from these conditions. This inspirational story in the face of social poverty is a true story. Ron also enters the charged lives of human beings in the sport of boxing, for whom it really is life. ABOUT RON SARDANOPOLI:

Ron Sardanopoli attended the State University of New York, Newpaltz, NY. He holds a Masters degree in Humanistic/Multicultural Education. After a career as an Army Chief Warrant Officer Five - CW5 retired, veteran, he was an Adjunct Professor at Dutchess Community College, Dutchess County, NY. His 36 years of military service opened up a treasure chest of experiences and journeys filled with inspirational people and events. Ron currently lives and writes at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He enjoys walking the beach in the morning with his wife Linda to catch the sunrise and take in the ocean air. It's his way to jump start the day in a blessed life.
