After a car caravan to Hobcaw House pier, participants will embark the boat to begin the journey through the bay to Pumpkinseed Island to Muddy Bay, through serpentine creeks and back. Snacks, water, and PFDs provided. Please dress for the weather and bring sunscreen. (Exertion level: moderate impact – embarking/disembarking boat, standing, some sitting.) Reservations required and in response to Georgetown County Emergency Ordinance 20-33 and the COVID-19 situation, the Hobcaw Barony Discovery Center requires visitors to wear face coverings when entering the Discovery Center as well as ALL other buildings on the tours. Participants are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings during outdoor programs as well, since adequate social distancing is often difficult to maintain.
