In anticipation of increased bicycle and pedestrian activity on Waverly Road (approved by the county for the next paving project to widen the bike path) and with acknowledgment of how long these projects take, we are returning the “Adopt-a-Path” efforts to pick up litter, trim overhanging vines, and clear the sidewalk of vegetation overgrowth. Volunteers should wear sturdy footgear (it’s mucky out there), long pants and sleeves (protection against kudzu thorns and poison ivy), bring gloves and gripper prongs (if you have ‘em). A few gas blowers and weedwhackers are always welcome! We’ll meet in the parking lot at Teach My People. Trash bags and safety vests provided. Contact Linda Ketron at linda@classatpawleys.com or 843.235.9600 if you can join us.
